Pathology of Double Gallbladder (Gallbladder Duplication)

Dr Sampurna Roy MD

Double gallbladder ( gallbladder duplication) is a very rare biliary anomaly and one of the twins may be intrahepatic.

It is usually discovered as an incidental finding.

Cholecystography often fails to be diagnostic, because the shadow of the two gallbladders are superimposed.
