  Dermatopathology Quiz Case 194

A  55 year old Asian female with nodules and plaques on the lower legs.

Laboratory investigation showed elevated serum T3 and T4 and depressed thyroid stimulating hormone.

Only Alcian blue was done to confirm the diagnosis. Spot diagnosis

This is another case where clinical correlation is crucial to establish the diagnosis. To an inexperienced eye it may look like "Normal" skin biopsy. The lesion is "Invisible".  The wide spaced collagen fibres are the clue to the diagnosis

Here again there is no need for immunohistochemistry.
